“Imprints of Impermanence”

About the collection:

“The power of the natural world to reveal our very own nature…”

The forces of nature can alter their appearance in a flash. Without warning, calm weather may erupt into a cyclone, the light may fail and the horizon vanish, even though an hour earlier everything was bright and peaceful. And with this ever changing landscape it becomes all the more difficult to trust stability… linking us to the sense of impermanence… just like the impermanence of our human existence!!

The fascination with the mineral kingdom on my sensibilities was fundamental to creating this collection of inner landscapes. The natural world is a powerful teacher and has the capacity to reveal our very own nature, of what is going on deep within us! Everything is coded, having a meaning. The forms that arose from the chaos and the disorder that existed within, were signs of secret desire of the unknown to communicate with us. Rocks, stone constructions, mountains, architecture… sometimes welcoming, sometimes destructive, sometimes overwhelming, sometimes stable, sometimes lonely… but always omnipresent! The works, the landscapes here all have something to say… the storms, the mountains, the valleys, the paths… that i have passed in order to get to this moment in time.
